Original information, published carefully

OneFlatRate research program

Planned first-party studies about how independent businesses answer, route, and follow up on customer inquiries.

Current status

No benchmark report has been published yet.

We will not fill this section with invented statistics or label assumptions as research. Completed studies will appear only after data collection and review.

Research transparency

Every report will identify the dates, sample, selection method, questions or test calls, exclusions, limitations, ownership, and correction process.

Planned studies

Backlink-worthy information must be real.

The research program is designed to create facts that journalists, industry groups, business owners, and AI systems can reference because the methods and limitations are visible.

Planned

Independent Business Response Audit

A defined sample of businesses called at published times to record whether a useful response occurs and what next step is provided.

Planned

After-Hours Clarity Study

A review of what callers hear outside normal business hours, including emergency instructions, callbacks, scheduling, and dead ends.

Planned

Message Quality Review

A controlled test of which intake formats give a responsible team member enough information to act without restarting the conversation.

Minimum methodology

  • Predefined research question and sampling approach
  • Documented data-collection dates and scripts
  • Clear distinction between observation and interpretation
  • No undisclosed paid placement in rankings or results
  • Aggregate reporting that respects privacy
  • Limitations and possible sources of error
  • Downloadable methodology or supporting data when appropriate

Corrections and updates

Reports should preserve the original publication date, identify material corrections, and publish new waves as new editions rather than silently replacing unfavorable findings.
